Insurgency

If it weren’t for the fact that their were no 1-800 numbers on the bottom of the screen you might have thought you were watching the Trinity Broadcasting Network instead of the Fox News Channel. Glenn Beck sounded just like a TV evangelist last night. He even had The Battle Hymn of The Republic playing in the background.
It was quite a sermon to say the least. It seems the biggest problem we in America face is, not believing in God anymore. We kicked Him out of our schools and out of the public square.
He’s right. I agree. But like so many evangelists before him he knew the problem but failed to mention the solution.
OK, to be fair, all the false prophets who infest TBN claim they know the answer. Send them all your money and THEY will solve all the world’s problems. (With God’s help of course) Meanwhile you will get a check in the mail for a gazillion dollars from God for helping them. But I digress.
The answer is not with them. But a couple folks on there might mention it. (I hope) You may or may not hear it at your local super megaplex church. That’s because the answer is simple.
It’s an insurgency. If God can’t get in through the front door He can get it from the back.
The answer is you and me. All of us who are people of faith. The answer is “Be a witness.”
God is not dead. This is what He did for me.
We are not God’s lawyer. We don’t argue and bash people over the head with a bible and with Jack Chick tracts, thank you very much.
Be a witness, at work,at home, with family and even the public square.
Our kids can be a witness too. They have no fear of rejection. Kids tell their friends what they’re into.
One likes Pokemon, another likes baseball, another likes “High School Musical.” And another even tells their friends about their great Sunday School.
Even if they go to a public school. It’s an insurgency! God came back into the schools through the back door.
One tells his friend who tells her friend who tells her mom who tells her friend . . .
The insurgency is now a quiet revolution. Jack Chick tracts optional.
We Need a Tea Party on Terror

It’s just a matter of time people.
We’ve had close calls in New York, in Dallas, Springfield IL. and even at the Quantico Marine base.-Hat tip Atlas Shrugs
We have the greatest military overseas and the best law enforcement team here at home, but it’s just a matter of time before something slips through the cracks.
The last thing we need now is a repeal of the patriot act. Should that happen, thousands of lives would be in jeopardy.
So before it does we need to let Congress know we’re not letting that happen. We need a tea party on terror. Pelozi can call us all the names she wants. Her days are already numbered.
We need an administration that understands what the jihadists are all about.
The people in Washington swore to defend our Constitution from enemies foreign and domestic. So it’s time they fullfilled their sworn duty to defend us!
The Real Way To Deal With Islam

First of all, this in no way is meant to diminish the fine work our men and women are doing in containing the real threat of Islamic Fundamentalism. Around the world and clearly on our own shores there are those who organize into terror cells and seek to do as much damage as possible in the name of their demon god allah.
But even after we’ve broken up every possible network we can is there still a way to win over hearts and minds? Consider this story from the Muslim Nation of Indonesia.
A missionary named Buzz Maxey just spoke at our church. He serves The Lord over on a remote part of Papua Indonesia. He told a story about a team from the Indonesian government coming to his island to extract the dead bodies from a plane that had crashed in the area.
After they landed the whole area was socked in so badly by fog that everyone was stranded. Someone asked Buzz if he could ask the tribal chief on the island to cast a witchcraft spell to lift the fog for everyone.
What they didn’t know since they couldn’t speak the local dialect and Missionary Buzz Maxey could, the local chief was no longer a pagan he was now a Christian. So Buzz asked the chief if he could pray to Jesus about the weather.
Lo and behold the next morning the weather cleared and the men could accomplish their mission. You could say it was a coincidence but it seems the weather never clears that fast in that part of the world. All the government people on the trip wanted to thank the tribal chief for performing a miracle in the name of Jesus including the team leader who was a Muslim.
It seems everyone was impressed by a pagan tribe who converted to Christianity on their own without compulsion and believed in Jesus strongly enough to change the weather.
The power of God changes hearts and minds without a single shot being fired!

Call it a combination of growing up in a yellow dog Republican district and watching the Vietnam protests on TV.. But when Nixon resigned in disgrace a couple months before my eighteenth birthday, there was no way I was going to register Republican.
However, when I moved to a heavily Democratic district there was no way I could stand being one of them either. It was like choosing between the candidate who smelled like a desert outhouse vs. the one who smelled like a manure wagon.
What my grandfather said years ago was so true. Politicians all have one thing in common.
“They’re all crooks!”
Nevertheless he was like the rest of my family. He was a loyal Republican.
Much to their chagrin I wanted nothing to do with it. For most of my adult life I’ve remained an independent with no party affiliation.
However, that is about to change. The stakes are much higher now. I’d rather vote for a corrupt Republican who understands what we’re up against in the war against Islamic extremism, than a clean Democrat who’d rather sing Kumbaya with OBL.
So it may only be a symbolic gesture since many of the local races are decided during the democratic primary, but that’s alright. I’m registering Republican. We’ll save their Democratic outhouse lovin’ fannies too.
And that noise you hear coming from a cemetary in Green Valley Arizona is my grandfather exclaiming,
“It’s about time!”
Make Your Own Revolution

Hey people! My soapbox isn’t under my bed it’s on the internet!
Here’s a little inspirational music from my favorite local band here in the Albany NY area, “Sirsy.”
The song is “Revolution.”
“Make it take an army to back you down.
Cause life’s marching on it’s not waiting round
so get up get off it and break some ground
Make your own revolution!”

Picking up where I left off from my last posting, in the immortal words of our much maligned 37th president, (Whose only crime was getting caught doing what the dems had done years before he got into office)
“Let me make this perfectly clear,”
It is quite all right to be rooting for your favorite candidate whoever they may be. As long as it’s clear that you’re ready come Labor Day 2012, to support whoever the eventual nominee is.
But we’ve got a long way to go until then. Even with our newly extended election cycle it’s going to be a while before anyone officially announces they’re running. Before then they have their exploratory committee raising money and seeing which way the wind’s blowing out there.
They want to know what are people saying at Tea Parties, on the radio, and of course what are all those crazy bloggers are writing about? All the while they’re picking up momentum and excitement so when the time is right they have an energized base that’s rarin’ to go.
So that’s why I’m confident that all the people supporting Mike Huckabee, Mitt Romney, Tim Pawlenty or anyone else will be fully backing Sarah Palin when she’s the nominee in three years.
Yellow Dog For Senate

It didn’t take long for the opposition to fall apart. People are already getting super nit picky about who they want to run against Obama in 2012. Granted, part of it is just the natural vetting process, but I’m already seeing signs that people might just sit out 2012 like they did in 2008.
No! No! No!
To make matters worse, there’s Glenn Beck and Company getting ready to form their own alternative party. They claim Republicans are just as bad as the democrats.
No! No! No!
We’ve been down this road before. Remember, those who forget their history are condemned to repeat it.
In 1992 Ross Perot’s strong third party showing stole votes from President George Bush Sr. That gave us eight years of Bill Clinton, the man who let OBL slip through his hands because he was too distracted by scandals in his personal life.
We need to resolve here and now to stand behind whoever the GOP nominee is. The stakes are way too high this time to look for the perfect candidate.
That goes double for next year’s mid term election. As much as we dislike people we refer to as “RINO‘s”, this time they might have just enough Republican left in them to turn the tide. And that’s what we so desperately need right now.
Yes I know how people here in New York, are grumbling about names like George Pataki and Rudy as being has beens. I agree.
It would be nice to see some new faces too. But going against what we’ve got now,
Ms. “I love ACORN,” Kirsten Gillibrand,
I’ll gladly vote for a yellow dog over her ,
any day!
There Was Almost An Explosion
September 24, 2009
It was really close. But I thought my head would explode yesterday.
Rush Limbaugh kept mentioning the president’s speech yesterday at the U.N.. You know how he gets with his sound bytes. And he kept playing them over and over and over.
http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/today.guest.html
And there’s the president talking about how the USA is to blame for all these evils in the world and all these crises like the melting ice caps.

THE ICE CAPS!
NYC is in lockdown mode over a major nationwide terror plot with 24 suspects still at large and you’re worried about the ice caps!

But it gets better!
Obama had to scold Israel. Eeeeevil Israel, and those gosh darn West Bank settlements. Never mind the other side hasn’t done ONE THING in keeping with the Oslo accords waaaaaay back in the Clinton years.
I’m sure all the commie anti Semites over at the far far left media got a big kick out of the speech. You notice how you’ll never hear them mention how cowering Hamas and their using human shields to hide behind. They never mention how they place their missiles around areas where there are women and children. It’s all about evil Israel and how they’re oppressing Gaza!
http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/2009/09/obama-attacks-israel-at-un-general.html
And just when I thought I would run out of duck tape to wrap around my head so it wouldn’t blow up, someone mentioned Sarah Palin was giving her first speech overseas in Hong Kong.
“Oh!” “Really?”
“Yep!”

Ah! That’s better!
No exploding head alert!
Obama Deranged Syndrome
September 23, 2009
Eight years ago there were those in the media who said President Bush didn’t do enough to prevent the attacks of 9-11-01. In response Bush called out the axis of evil, North Korea, Iran, and Iraq.
Fearing attack, Saddam threatened a massive retaliation using weapons of mass destruction should the USA invade his country. Since he kept insisting he had WMD’s we invaded Iraq.
As a result we rid the world of an evil dictator and removed a major destabilizing influence in the region. Because of all the UN agreement violations Saddam committed we had every right to invade.
Eventually we brought down the insurgents and Iraq gained it’s freedom. It’s now a democracy, inked fingers and all.
Meanwhile during the campaign Obama said we should have sent more troops to Afghanistan not Iraq. He said the real fight was over there.
Well, Mr. President, now’s your chance to put your money where your mouth is. You can give the generals in Afghanistan all the additional troops they need.
By doing this we’ll find out who really has Obama Deranged Syndrome and who on the right is willing to give you the credit you’d deserve.
However if you pull out of Afghanistan, wasting all our efforts there, it will cause a chain reaction all over The Middle East, especially in Pakistan. Their relations with India are shaky already without having the Taliban next door.
By abandoning the Afghan people now would be a disaster. It would give all of us (liberals, moderates, and conservatives) a huge reason for having Obama Deranged Syndrome.
