I never heard of Faldoni’s Deli in Mechanicville NY but after the story Fox 23 in Albany did on all the good they do they’re defiantly worth checking out.
They also got a nice write up in the Saratogian-
“Faldoni’s Deli on Park Avenue anticipates giving out up to 400 gourmet Thanksgiving dinners, said Dave Quillinan, owner and executive chef at the deli that offered the same program last year.
Nearly 200 people have already reserved the free dinners and walk-ins are also welcome, said Quillinan, who has a degree in culinary arts and has worked in restaurants throughout the East Coast.
“Everything is made from scratch — pumpkin bread, pumpkin pie, gravy, and I’m making these jumbo shrimp cocktails,” he said.
The deli will spend about $4,000 on the free meals.”
Good Job folks!
How Stupid Are These People?
November 29, 2009

Advocates for the poor had better get their heads out of the clouds. More and more we see people not caring about what really works to get people out of poverty but only going with what perpetuates the need for their idiotic wasteful bureaucracy.
The stupid pinheads at Hunger Action Network wants to see an almost $3 increase in the minimum wage.
HT CS9
That would put so many employers out of business and impact more directly the people they’re trying to help than if they just leave the minimum wage where it is.
So few people work at the bottom level anyway. When the economy is going well there’s a labor shortage which automatically increases wages better and faster than any shortsighted law.
IMHO they should lower the minimum wage and watch how many jobs that creates. But that just makes too much sense to do something that might really work to get people out of poverty.
But these Hunger Action people only know one mantra that repeats the same cycle of defeat. Raise the minimum wage and make unemployment and poverty go up.
Job and life skill training is what people need. More skills raises the demand for what they offer making their wages go up due to higher productivity.
Tell The Hunger Action Network to take a big drink of “Get The Heck Outta The Way” and let advocacy groups that really work people out of poverty do their job.
This is just another redistribution of wealth scenario to make us more like North Korea every day!
When Will We See This In Schenectady!

From FNC-
A needle exchange program in Puerto Rico is testing a vending machine that provides drug users with clean syringes after-hours to fight the spread of HIV and hepatitis C.
Drug counseling offices that distribute syringes are open only during daylight hours.
The vending machine program targets young addicts reluctant to seek help.
Drug users can get syringes, cookers, cotton filters, gauze and sterile water to prepare drugs for injection by inserting a special card.
At least it’s for people getting drug counseling. If they leave the program can they still get the needles?
And how long before we surrender to the drug war up here and we see the machines in LA?
In NYC?
In Schenectady!
Katie’s Korner
November 27, 2009
Time now for something different. It’s my weekend music post. Back in Y2K my wife and I adopted our daughter Katie just before her first birthday.
One of the promises we made our adoption agency was that we would tell our daughter about the culture of her birth country. That’s why among Katie’s interests in addition to the usual stuff, (Hannah Montana, Radio Disney, Roller Skating) she also likes C-Pop. That’s pop music in Chinese. One of her favorite videos is by the group called S*H*E* with their song “Ring Ring Ring.”

First for what it’s worth here are the lyrics in Pinyin

But it gives you some idea anyway, it’s all about working a customer service center for a cell phone company and dealing with people who are clueless about using their new cell phones.
Come to understand the taste is to allow people to wait for the collapse of so crazy Do not you I did not feel right to you how do not call number

Could it be that you have to (let it) ring for several more (times) will take heart afraid of (before you’re brave enough to answer your phone) the sound (of the) bouncing bass tone will stop and quickly press the Talk key

Savage on Rifqa
November 24, 2009
My opinion on Michael Savage has gone way up as of late. He was the first one I heard who exposed Bosnia for what it really was, the introduction of the forced Islamization of Europe.
Here’s a clip from two months ago when Savage had on author Walid Shoebat and the two talked about Christian teen convert and Muslim apostate Rifqa Bary.
