What needs to be said Nine Years Later

At the risk of turning my blog into a far right echo chamber, here is my fav blogger Pam Geller quoting one of her favorites saying whaT NEEDS TO BE SAID nine years after 9-11.

Christian Suicide Bomber

With battle lines being drawn and tempers flaring around the world and at ground zero over a proposed mosque,

it’s time to ask everyone who considers themselves to be a disciple of Jesus of Nazareth,

are you ready to become a Christian Suicide Bomber?

Now as every real student of The Holy Bible knows

“We are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.” EPH 6:12 NLT,

so obviously I’m NOT talking about anything to do with real explosives.

But what I’m talking about is what The Apostle Paul’s referring to in Romans 12,

“And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. 2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”  ROM 12: 1-2 NLT

and in Galatians 2:20 20

“My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”  Gal 2:20 NLT

And in Romans 6

“Do not let sin control the way you live;[a] do not give in to sinful desires. 13 Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God. 14 Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace.” ROM 6:12-14 NLT

Who knows what kind of damage we’re causing in the spirit realm when we throw off our sinful nature and instead obey The Holy Spirit.

Every time we refuse to spread gossip about our neighbor down the street, we become a Christian Suicide Bomber.

Every time we break off a conversation with a coworker of the opposite sex who’s getting a little too flirty, we become a Christian Suicide Bomber.

Every time we give money back to a clerk who just handed us too much change, we become a Christian Suicide Bomber.

Every time we resist the urge to scream at our spouse for forgetting to do something  for the gazillionth time and instead not even bring it up, we become a Christian Suicide Bomber.

Every time we wave at a driver who just cut us off instead of showing them the bad half of a peace sign, we become a Christian Suicide Bomber.

The thing about natural Suicide Bombers, as bad as they are, they can only inflict their damage once,

but because we become LIVING SACRIFICES,

we can inflict damage in the spirit world,

over

and over

AND OVER!

My Time w/ the Commies 2

Last week the net roots far lefties had their big hoe down in Vegas.

This week the even farther left are having an even bigger shindig in my backyard.

With 25 various so called peace groups coming to Albany NY, it reminded me of how I got sucked in to the anti-war movement back in 07 .

Last September I did a post about my time with the Communists.

And with so many of them in town it’s time to once again come clean and call them out for what they really are.

Yes, it’s true.

I used to hang with Communists.

But don’t stone me just yet.

If only . . .

If only we had found WMD’s in Iraq.

If only we had found OBL right away.

If only . . .

But no.

And the more the war in Iraq dragged on the more I wondered just why we were there.

Then to hear (On a National Geographic Channel Special) how we may have been duped in the run up to the war, the angrier I became.

If we had just focused on Afghanistan and worried about Iraq later, (if ever)

BUT NO.

So I exercised my freedom of speech and started going to peace vigils.

PUT DOWN THAT ROCK, I see you.  ;-)

There was no one on the Mainstream Evangelical or conservative side calling for anti- war demonstrations.

The only conservatives saying anything along those lines were the conservatives in the far right alternative parties demanding Bush be impeached.

But no peace marches.

But there I was, a token “Jesus Freak” out there with my sign that said,

“Support The Troops, Bring Them Home Now!”

The peaceniks welcomed me with open arms. They started inviting me to all kinds of things. And I wondered just what in the world had I gotten myself into.

The last straw was the most telling. They invited me to “Workers Rights” Day.

“WORKER’S RIGHTs DAY?” That sounds allot like “Workers of the World Unite!” doesn’t it?

And sure enough WRD is on May 1st.

May Day!

May Day is celebrated in Havana and Beijing. It’s the birthday of Communism, the start of atheist religious tyranny in Russia.

They say politics makes strange bedfellows. But when it comes to hanging out with God hating communists and anarchist woman that brag how they can pee outside standing up,

(Long story-you don’t want to know) that’s where I draw the line!

I still don’t understand why our country is so polarized, but I guess that’s just the way the American pie crumbles. In retrospect I believe George W. Bush and company saw what a big threat Islamic Fundamentalism was becoming and they felt after 9-11 the best thing to do was to get boots on the ground in Iraq, ASAP, no matter what the cost. Even if that meant stretching the truth or even telling lies to do it.

Who knows? If it hadn’t been for the economy going bad John McCain may have won instead of BAMA.

In the end I don’t regret my time with the commies because it taught me allot. Now I really see what the roots of the peace movement are.

There were others saying it, but I just had to see it for myself.

If we are really polarized as a nation, I’ll chose the side for for freedom and democracy.

There are other ways to deal with doubts.

Like praying, for one thing and blogging for another,

Recognizing just how far left the fringe stream media has become is good thing as well as knowing there are good news hubs on the web that set the record straight.

They’re Still Stuck on Stupid!

CNN needs to get their heads out of the sand so they can learn to count crowds better. One of their reporters covering the big Tea Party event in Nevada, numbered the crowd at, “hundreds perhaps dozens.” Gee that’s funny others covering the very same event put the number closer to 20K!

Hmmmm! I wonder who is closer to the truth. Let’s check the photos, SHALL WE! (HT Atlas Shrugs)

Looks like the 20K number is the right one!  Notice the second photo of the woodstock type traffic jam of people still trying to reach the event after it already had begun.  Here I thought CNN was becoming more conservative.  Cue the buzzer!  BeeeeeeeeeeeP!

Who let the Pigs IN!!!

Never mind who let the dogs out!

Who let the pigs in?  Who threw their pearls to the swine?

As in,who let the pigs  into the church so that people with a malevolent agenda could film children and children ministry leaders in some very intimate deeply spiritual moments!!!

I’m talking about one of the most inspirational films I’ve ever seen. It’s inspiring because it totally torqued me off! There is smoke pouring from my nostrils and fire balls over my head!

“Jesus Camp,” is an evil twisted movie that takes the precious innocence of child like faith and makes it out to be something like Hitler’s Youth Program or Mao’s Cultural Revolution.

It looks like some well meaning Christian leaders were conned into letting this serpent, film their youth camp. They of course only show the most controversial radical moments.

So, I’m inspired and proud of all the all the kids in the film and the youth director who got scammed by this snake in the grass film maker.

I wish I could send my kids to a camp like the one in this movie.

If you have NETFLIX on line you can get the documentary “Jesus Camp” on demand.

Just be prepared to be torqued off if you’re an evangelical Christian!

Not a Knee Jerk, Conservative Jerk, Reaction

A few weeks back I blogged about an after hours drug rehab program in Puerto Rico that gives away needles to their clients after hours from a vending machine.  With tongue in cheek I asked, “When will we see this in Schenectady?

While there aren’t any vending machines just yet right down the road from Schenectady, in neighboring Albany NY, Catholic Charities is giving away clean needles from a mobile van unit.

There are people raising all kinds of objections to this program, in spite of the fact that it’s already up and running in 17 communities around the state.  They say it encourages more drug use.  Of course proponents of the plan insist they’ve reduced the spread of AIDS where the program is in place.

The knee jerk conservative reaction would be to agree with the law enforcement people who believe we’re just going to be stuck with allot more lazy addicts to deal with.  And who says a real addict gives a darn about a clean needle anyway.

But I’m not a knee jerk conservative.  There’s something else to consider here as well.  Besides handing out needles shouldn’t Catholic Charities be handing out hope as well?

The last time I checked Catholics were still considered to be Christians.

We’re supposed to be all about hope.

Anything to reduce the spread of AIDS is a good thing.  But wouldn’t getting people  off drugs and into rehab be even better?

It’s the same thing when it comes to handing out free condoms to teenagers.  I’m not a knee jerk conservative here either.  Condoms can also prevent the spread of STD’s, reduce the number of unwanted pregnancies and reduce the need for abortions. So I’m for the whole condom idea as long people also talk about taking pride in one’s body.

Oh No!  It’s the dreaded “A” word!

Abstinence!

Hey!  It’s your body and your time.

Who says you have to lose your virginity by 16 anyway?

Therefore I believe anything out to prevent the spread of HIV is a good thing.

I just think it would be better to try and reach out to people’s souls as well.

He’s Unconceeding His Consession!

The 23rd-NY Congressional race may have been called too soon.  With 5,000 absentee ballot votes remaining Doug Hoffman trails by a little under 3,000 votes.  In an interview with Glenn Beck,

Hoffman was asked point blank . . .

“Are you officially ‘un-conceding’ at this moment?”

“Yes. If I knew this information at the election night, I would not have conceded,” Hoffman said.

But wait!  It gets better!

“In a recent letter to fellow conservatives, 23rd Congressional candidate Doug Hoffman suggests the election was rigged.

Hoffman picked up votes in Oswego as local Board of Elections recanvased their votes. And now he’s suggesting ACORN and other unions were involved in tampering with results on election night.”

He may have a point, ACORN’S been caught rigging elections before, something the local lame stream media should have remembered, but they’re making Hoffman out to be the bad guy for not letting go.

Meanwhile the former conservative party candidate is pulling out all the stops.  He’s launching a fund raiser so he can file an appeal.  Of course both mainline parties want nothing to do with this.  Which is all the more reason why Doug Hoffman should go down swinging, until every last vote is counted!
