Between Facebook and running back and forth to You Tube who has time to blog old school?  Then there’s Twitter and Spotify.

And don’t get me started on my off line world!

A couple of health crisis’s to resolve and a ton of work related issues and I’ve decided to return back here.

Besides, my You Tube videos suck rotten apples and get no views.  ;-(

Things are going crazy and they’re getting crazier. For those who think a Tea Party President is going to save us all, I don’t know.

What if things are so crazy Obama cancels the 2012 election?

I live in an alternate universe

New York state could be the only place where the Tea Party Movement may have hurt the Republicans rather than help them. It didn’t help that Carl Paladino was not ready for prime time and got set up by the Dems and the fringe stream media like a bowling pin. And now King Cuomo is firmly in charge.

In the next two years Republicans will have to decide what really works in New York may not be the same as what works for the rest of the country. Perhaps it’s better to be pragmatic than idealistic.

On the other hand two years can be a long time in the age of 24/7 hour news cycles. The Republican tsunami that swept most of the nation could grow in 2012 to reach into places as unlikely as the NY-21 where the GOP candidate did allot better than the usual token challenge in 2010.

But whatever optimism Republicans have about this nation’s future. They need to remember that New York State is an alternate reality.

What began nationwide as a reaction to President Obama’s radical agenda, the Tea Party Movement is now a proactive call to return the Republican Party to it’s conservative roots.  Even here in liberal New York State the Tea Party Movement is alive and well.  No longer are New York Republicans content to be Democrat lite in order to get their candidates elected.  They want real conservatives.

The best example of this is the Tea Party’s endorsement of gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino.  This race that’s down to the wire has become IMHO the fight to save The Republican Party in New York State.

What needs to be said Nine Years Later

At the risk of turning my blog into a far right echo chamber, here is my fav blogger Pam Geller quoting one of her favorites saying whaT NEEDS TO BE SAID nine years after 9-11.

“If only the fantasy were true: If only there actually were a dominant, pro-American, echt moderate Islam, an ideology so dedicated to human rights, so sternly set against savagery, that acts of terrorism were, by definition, ‘un-Islamic activity.’ “

Hold a Bonfire on 9-11

Don’t burn any books on 9-11, fire up your heart instead. Hold a prayer vigil and a fast for the church in America.

Who knows where we are in God’s timetable. A couple more 9-11 types disasters add a few hurricanes and a good earthquake, bye bye USA.

I pray it never happens for the sake of our children, but what would we do? Dare we think we’re immune to such things here.

Picture riots and martial law everywhere as Washington DC burns. Imagine mobs trampling on all our sacred documents with the capital in ruins.

I love this country and I pray God will spare us once again.

But all of you who know history and who study your bible know that anything is possible.

Will we be ready as a church for what happens?

Christian Suicide Bomber

With battle lines being drawn and tempers flaring around the world and at ground zero over a proposed mosque,

it’s time to ask everyone who considers themselves to be a disciple of Jesus of Nazareth,

are you ready to become a Christian Suicide Bomber?

Now as every real student of The Holy Bible knows

“We are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.” EPH 6:12 NLT,

so obviously I’m NOT talking about anything to do with real explosives.

But what I’m talking about is what The Apostle Paul’s referring to in Romans 12,

“And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. 2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”  ROM 12: 1-2 NLT

and in Galatians 2:20 20

“My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”  Gal 2:20 NLT

And in Romans 6

“Do not let sin control the way you live;[a] do not give in to sinful desires. 13 Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God. 14 Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace.” ROM 6:12-14 NLT

Who knows what kind of damage we’re causing in the spirit realm when we throw off our sinful nature and instead obey The Holy Spirit.

Every time we refuse to spread gossip about our neighbor down the street, we become a Christian Suicide Bomber.

Every time we break off a conversation with a coworker of the opposite sex who’s getting a little too flirty, we become a Christian Suicide Bomber.

Every time we give money back to a clerk who just handed us too much change, we become a Christian Suicide Bomber.

Every time we resist the urge to scream at our spouse for forgetting to do something  for the gazillionth time and instead not even bring it up, we become a Christian Suicide Bomber.

Every time we wave at a driver who just cut us off instead of showing them the bad half of a peace sign, we become a Christian Suicide Bomber.

The thing about natural Suicide Bombers, as bad as they are, they can only inflict their damage once,

but because we become LIVING SACRIFICES,

we can inflict damage in the spirit world,

over

and over

AND OVER!

A Clarification about my last Posting

Since I’m not a Sean Hannity wanna be, I have no problem posting a clarification or even a retraction of sorts, regarding my last post.

I do not believe that every single person involved in the modern peace movement is a God hating atheist or a USA hating communist.  But I do get the distinct impression that the organizers behind it all, are.

On the other hand if my fellow Evangelicals have any hope of reaching outsiders who are liberals, or peace marchers, or even anarchists, (And Jesus did say go into ALL the world) then we’d better make sure whenever possible our churches stay right out of politics altogether.

We need to stay as far as we can from pinheads like this group in Florida who are having a “Burn the Koran” day.  Our Lord said “Love your enemies,” not pick a fight with them.

FAIL!

And we Evangelicals need to disassociate ourselves from people like those jack wagons who showed up at U Albany last year (or was it the year before?) with signs that had stuff like “God Hates Gays” on them.  That got me so upset I almost showed up on campus dressed in drag carrying a super soaker!

My Time w/ the Commies 2

Last week the net roots far lefties had their big hoe down in Vegas.

This week the even farther left are having an even bigger shindig in my backyard.

With 25 various so called peace groups coming to Albany NY, it reminded me of how I got sucked in to the anti-war movement back in 07 .

Last September I did a post about my time with the Communists.

And with so many of them in town it’s time to once again come clean and call them out for what they really are.

Yes, it’s true.

I used to hang with Communists.

But don’t stone me just yet.

If only . . .

If only we had found WMD’s in Iraq.

If only we had found OBL right away.

If only . . .

But no.

And the more the war in Iraq dragged on the more I wondered just why we were there.

Then to hear (On a National Geographic Channel Special) how we may have been duped in the run up to the war, the angrier I became.

If we had just focused on Afghanistan and worried about Iraq later, (if ever)

BUT NO.

So I exercised my freedom of speech and started going to peace vigils.

PUT DOWN THAT ROCK, I see you.  😉

There was no one on the Mainstream Evangelical or conservative side calling for anti- war demonstrations.

The only conservatives saying anything along those lines were the conservatives in the far right alternative parties demanding Bush be impeached.

But no peace marches.

But there I was, a token “Jesus Freak” out there with my sign that said,

“Support The Troops, Bring Them Home Now!”

The peaceniks welcomed me with open arms. They started inviting me to all kinds of things. And I wondered just what in the world had I gotten myself into.

The last straw was the most telling. They invited me to “Workers Rights” Day.

“WORKER’S RIGHTs DAY?” That sounds allot like “Workers of the World Unite!” doesn’t it?

And sure enough WRD is on May 1st.

May Day!

May Day is celebrated in Havana and Beijing. It’s the birthday of Communism, the start of atheist religious tyranny in Russia.

They say politics makes strange bedfellows. But when it comes to hanging out with God hating communists and anarchist woman that brag how they can pee outside standing up,

(Long story-you don’t want to know) that’s where I draw the line!

I still don’t understand why our country is so polarized, but I guess that’s just the way the American pie crumbles. In retrospect I believe George W. Bush and company saw what a big threat Islamic Fundamentalism was becoming and they felt after 9-11 the best thing to do was to get boots on the ground in Iraq, ASAP, no matter what the cost. Even if that meant stretching the truth or even telling lies to do it.

Who knows? If it hadn’t been for the economy going bad John McCain may have won instead of BAMA.

In the end I don’t regret my time with the commies because it taught me allot. Now I really see what the roots of the peace movement are.

There were others saying it, but I just had to see it for myself.

If we are really polarized as a nation, I’ll chose the side for for freedom and democracy.

There are other ways to deal with doubts.

Like praying, for one thing and blogging for another,

Recognizing just how far left the fringe stream media has become is good thing as well as knowing there are good news hubs on the web that set the record straight.
